In the 90’s Peter Chernin was the head of FOX overseeing movies like X Men and shepherding hit filmmakers like Bryan Singer and Brett Ratner. (Both plagued by their own controversies.)
The Former Fox and NewsCorp Exec. nowadays has his hand in many of your favorite content creators via his various funding outlets. However, it may surprise you to know that the Qatar Investment Authority is a major backer of Chernin’s enterprises.
Power and money always override ideology. The business of misinformation only makes the rich richer. Division is power. Take a look at how Chernin’s post FOX investments have massively influenced the ”independent” internet media landscape.

All of this is verifiable public information BUT you are likely asking WHO is Night Capital?
This excerpt from Deadline.com sums it up best:
“The Chernin Group and Night, Inc. are launching Night Capital, a new investment company with commitments of $100 million, to acquire established consumer-facing companies in partnership with leading talent.
Alexandra Moore, a former executive from Amazon who focused on mergers and acquisitions, will lead Night Capital as its founding managing director.
TCG has also invested directly in Night, where TCG co-founder and partner Mike Kerns will be joining the board.
Night Capital directors include Night founder and CEO Reed Duchscher, Night president Ezra Cooperstein, Moore, Kearns and TCG principal Jacob Smilovitz.
“Night has been at the forefront of the talent ecosystem and the communities built on the internet. Night Capital will be a unique new investment vehicle enabling creators to be true equity owners and participate in building long-lasting enterprise value,” said Duchscher, who is the manager of YouTube megastar Jimmy Donaldson, aka Mr. Beast.”

When the same money is funding all sides of the argument you have to take a step back and reevaluate. On the Internet, its all about views and clicks, that’s how free media converts to revenue.
Many of the names mentioned here intertwine in other incredibly astounding ways. Reed, Bryan and Brett will each lead you down wild rabbit holes that tie into modern day issues and politics. This is why when people decide to get outraged about Qatar donating a plane to the President, I just chuckle. Sure it’s absurd and should not happen. However, if that bothers you, then all of the above should as well. That is how someone like an Ian Carroll pops up overnight and winds up on The Joe Rogan Experience. It’s all funded and managed media from the same players.
